April 2005
Charles & Camilla do it for Sharon
Al and El at Windsor
Al and El look happy to see the couple!
The place to be on the weekend of April 9th was Windsor... where Charles and Camilla finally tied the knot.
Staffordshire girl Sharon Thorpe now lives there and got herself and the family in position outside the Guildhall Registry very early.
Sharon gave us her impressions of the day - and her photos!

Please tell us

It was a sunny warm morning as the crowds built up in readiness for the arrival of the Royal couple.
We were lucky enough to get a spot opposite the Guildhall entrance along side a huge number of press photographers.
This was a bonus for the members of the family that had travelled from Leek to take part in the celebrations.

Faces
The celebrities were aplenty - including Trinny & Susannah, Nicholas Witchell, Johnathan Dimbleby & Sophie Wrayworth to name but a few.

The first guests arrived at about 12.25pm including Prince William - who is even better looking in the flesh! - Prince Harry, Tom & Laura Parker Bowles, Prince Edward & Sophie Countess of Wessex, Prince Andrew & Princesses Eugenie & Beatrice, along with a host of other Royals.

Then the Royal couple arrived - to huge cheers from the 15,000 strong crowd who had waited patiently to see them arrive.

A good day
The ceremony went without a hitch & the couple left the Guildhall at 1pm & moved back to the Castle - where the marriage was blessed in St Georges Chapel in front of 700 distinguished guests & celebrities.

All in all a great day & nice to have witnessed history in the making.
