Caroline, and Fiona, 28, former pupils at Clough Hall High School, Kidsgrove, studied part-time in the same class at the University's Business School for their HNC in Business awards.

Caroline is married to Benn and a personal assistant to the Director of Organisational Development at the Britannia Building Society based in Leek.

She plans to move into human resource management and to gain her professional status in this field through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Fiona is married to Brian and works as a pensions administrator for the Hanley branch of the Norwich Union.

She is planning to continue her professional development through the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII).
