Ray Of Hope
A visit to the observatory Hanley
The day Christine Cooper and her friend Gwen visited the Observatory in Hanley to collect some knitting produced by the ladies there.
Gwen and I had a most enjoyable morning last Monday. We were invited to the Happy Monday group at the Observatory in Hanley SOT. We were there to collect some lovely knitting that the ladies had done for us and also some items Barbara Hewitt had brought with her from some ladies at Bucknall Pentecostal Church.
Blankets, cardigans, bonnets, bootees, and mitts etc
Many thanks to Anthea Goodfellow, Nora Tooth, and Mandy Surrage from the Happy Monday group and to Margaret Salt, Joyce Weaver, Dorothy Hackney from Bucknall Pentecostal Church and of course to Barbara herself.
Those special tiny babies
A poem written for the *Ray of Hope* by Barbara Hewitt Stoke-on-Trent UK
I have today began to knit
The tiny babies that fight for life
Dedicated nurses that take care
I am sure that God gives the skills
Surrounded by their family
So I will keep on knitting
Barbara Hewitt works at the Observatory where they have chosen to knit stuff for the Ray of Hope's premature babies
