Sarah Hadden
Please play something for my husband Steve Hadden as it's his birthday 9th June. He listens to your show every week on the internet, and sometimes listens again when he thinks we don't notice. He says that I'm his trophy wife (without the millions) but he doesn't realise that he's my trophy husband! His favourite song is 'My baby is like a magician' but I don't know who sings it. Tell him we love him from Sarah, Matt, Rob and Quint the dog.
jeff smith
Can you please play DONNIE ELBERT "WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO?" Thanks.

To Dave Packem,I agree with alot you have said but I reckon it would only take 5 compilation Cd's to cover most needs when it comes to rediscovering our past, records I remember when the Soul Scene went massive was 1 Cracking Up Over You 2 Blowing My Mind To Pieces 3 Too Late 4 Night Owl 5 You Better Keep Her 6 Love You Baby 7 Mr Bang Bang Man 8 Al Capone 9 Cool Aid 10 Cigarette Ashes and many more You know stuff like that,to be honest I love those tracks BUT the Soul Scene as many MORE MONSTERS that must have a chance to be heard on a World Wide scale,I personally aren't bothered if a dance floor is full, anybody who knows the basic Soul Tunes or have a few Soul Compilations have had all the spade work done for them, I have seen it all to many times, infact they empty places more than they fill um, I know that the media have begun to give The Underground Soul Tunes a play, its old hat to us and time is running out for US ORIGINAL SOULSTERS, just have a look back in the last 5 years who we have lost O C Smith,Lou Rawls,Billy Preston,Phylis Hyman, to name a few surely their stuff should be allowed a listen after all alot of them have progressed from the old scene to a newer scene,I know politics plays its part you have to be kept in place by those at the top of the pecking order,me personally doesn't think that some who play records on the Soul Scene should be allowed to,they haven't a clue about Northern and Soul Music and when they say they sold their record collections they don't sound the most faithful when they say Keep The Faith, the good thing about the Soul Scene is you and I have opinions and we can give our opinion,I know some won't agree,so what but I do think its time to move on a bit with selections,I dunna know how far back in time some of Marys guests want to take us but I would like to think before I kick the bucket we will get some more modern tunes played and I call Modern Tunes FROM 1974 onwards, I'm not a big lover of alot of the NEWER STUFF but thats my opinion, What Bugs me more than anything is Celebrities who are latching onto our Soul scene, hey where were they before and they think they know the music and the scene, i'm still learning but they seem to have learned it all in 2 minuites, The Northern Scene is as BIG as ever and it will never die.

Dear Mary Is it possible that the hierarchy at the BBC realise the amount of interest that your show is creating? Just finished listening to "The Motown Invasion" on Listen Again,I wonder if any of the fans out there got to see any of those shows. I was only 15 when I was dragged by a neighbours daughter to the De Montfort Hall in Leicester to see The Motown Review as it was called. At the time I did,nt know the music, like everybody else I was listening to English group covers. On that night Stevie Wonder, Supremes, Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Martha and the Vandellas,Marvelletes,Earl van Dyke orchestra, among others. Stupidly I didn,t buy a programme, I was only 15 and I couldn,t afford the extra 2/6d. What a show, the hall was only 1/2 full, but even so the atmosphere was fantastic. I must admit I felt out of my depth at first, most of the people there were older than me, but I was made welcome and made friends with people I,ve kept in touch with ever since, and who I know listen to the show.It means alot to us Mary, without being sad,it brings back memories that were long buried. Yours Stu Morris

Hi Mary, thank you for your great show, since you started the soul world has changed. Before internet radio we had to rely on enthusiastic fans for mix tapes or fanzines for glowing reports on new sounds that had been played at various venues about the country. For some of us, for whatever reason, travelling long distance to venues was/is not an option. With the advance of the internet and it’s explosion of soul shows (BBC, commercial and independent enthusiasts) we are now able to listen to most of the types of soul (youth club, handbag, classic, northern, funk, modern, jazz funk, rhythm & blues, garage, house, disco, lounge……… ). What we don’t have is a programme that gives us an overview of all types. Having listened and collected most types of the above that have been played in clubs since 1968, In my opinion, I feel there now seems to be a void in the BBC’s schedule for a programme of this ilk. Nationally we have to suffer country, folk, blues/rock, 50’s, 60’s & 70’s pop, but archive soul is given the occasional airing via, Bank Holiday specials or six week half our slots once a year. Your programme, although held back by it’s title, has forwarded our cause by the strength of it’s listenership. So much so that other BBC local radio stations have followed in your path (James Watts big night in, Jenny Wilkes’ Soul Sunday ). There is also classic soul (Will Bank’s Soul Prescription). The recent barrage you have received regarding John Fishers guest spot worries me that the current trend may soon go into decline unless a looser criteria is used within your or somebody’s programme. John was rightfully criticised for his use of the term “cutting edge” but most DJ’s have ego’s, that’s what puts them on the stage. But as a DJ introducing new sounds to the audience is where all our old favourites originally came from. If the listener wants to listen to only the “songs of our youth” I suggest a collection of 30 cd’s would cover all your needs. It’s the occasional inclusion of unfamiliar tracks that makes any programme more interesting and educational. (and the reason I don’t mind paying for a TV license, One listen to the new SMOOTHFM London highlights the problem of commercial programming) The Major music industry has scraped the bottom of the barrel with it’s various Northern Soul Compilations and many look tired with those same old tracks. And if there not delivering the goods because there are no new popular discoveries, appreciation of soul will gradually go into obscurity and dwindle to a trickle just like the rock-a-billy boom of the 80’s. This letter is really a winge at the BBC for not having a regular National Soul Show to promote all aspects of soul music. Don’t listen to the blinkered Mary, at least we’ve got you. (That’s meant to be a compliment) Dave.

Dave (Kelowna BC) Canada
Hi Mary First I would like to thank Rob H. For getting back to me about the DVD. On the same note What ever happend to the film that was going to be made about Northern Soul?????Ok about this old soul v new soul thing.( brave or what??)I listen to the show every week, tape it and play it in my truck. All week for me its all about the old sound, it is nothing like any other music on the radio. I am younger than the the listeners that went to wigan ect but I was lucky that I had friends that moved from Newcastle to Edinburgh. Calum was given access to a box of about a doszen Northern Soul 45 singals in the late 7Ts and that was it . In 1986 I came to Canada with a tape of the same 12 records. To me this was my little bag of Gold. Yes I had more tapes about 10 (Theres not a lot you can take on a plane when your 19 and imagrating) After setteling in Kelowna some years later I started to collect soul CDs along with other CDs but for the biggest part it was soul. Then I got into special ordering. As the record stores are all about the latest craze not much Northern Soul. I got my first Northern Soul CD about five years ago. The best allnighter ever as it had most of my 12 singles on it. In the last three years I have realy gotten into Northern Soul thanks to the computer. I dont have the history so your show for me is like finding a top 20 show every week. I look forward to my fix of Northern Soul and Motown. Its not that I dont like the new soul music its just that to me the show is called The Northern Soul and Motown show and its only two hour but I have a solution. I think you have more than proved your self as a great Dj so can you tell your boss that we all feel that you should be put on the air for THREE hours that way you can have the time to play all things soul as there is a call for new soul. Tell your boss he can email me any time. What do you think soul fans. sounds great to me. Thanks Dave
scooby
mary can you tell shaggy that scooby will never forget him and things maybe alittle difficuilt at moment but we will get through it and hopefully have fun again please play it'll never be over for me by timi yuro thanks mary love the show

Stuart Morris
dear mary just been listening to lulu,s motown show on the net broadcast on bank holiday monday. good show, but certainly no threat to you.i thought she would have been a little more adventurous!be careful, mary, they,ll be headhunting you,and make you play things like "sky writer" by the jacksons. i dont normally agree with people like the guy who would keep our music underground, but when mainstream radio2 have a great opportunity to showcase Motown tunes that most people have,nt heard, and plough out the same old stuff i,m disappointed.so keep at it, mary. love the show.
graham anderson
i forgot to give you the address for the polish club in oldham it is THE POLISH CLUB CHAMBER RD HOLLINS OLDHAM.

IAN EDWARDS(BILSTON YAM YAM)
To Karen Hart, I read on the notice board that you were looking for any places in Torquay for a night out on your holiday,I worked down there myself for the police and to be honest I never found anything at all Karen they do have a few venues in Exeter and that is about 30 minutes drive away, what I can recommend is the record stall on Torquay indoor market the guy there does some very good stuff, they are cheap in price and not originals maybe but you can get classics on the cheap, and also some good LP'S as well, give it a go Karen it kept me sain while I was away, have a great time on holiday, and also while your there go to the little record shop in Brixham harbour bargains galore. KEEP THE FAITH IAN EDWARDS.

Hi Mary, I was interested to hear from your guest this week concerning The group "The Real Thing" and "Grazing in the Grass" This group was discovered on Hughie Green's Opportunity Knocks T.V. show and "Grazing " was the song they sang on the programme. It was the one and only time I have ever voted for anything on television and they deserved to win. GREAT !!!!!! Always remember two things Mary, "you cannot be all things to all men" ,,,,and, "in 50 years time there will be nobody alive that will remember you." So why worry, "If it feels good do it" Great show as always, Del.

HERE WE GO AGAIN IF IT'S NOT WHAT I LIKE IT'S NOT NORTHERN SOUL WHAT IS WRONG WITH SOME OF YOU CAN'T YOU TAKE ANYTHING ON FACE VALUE IF IT FEELS GOOD DO IT JUST BECAUSE IT DOESN'T FIT YOUR TASTE LET THOSE WHO DO LIKE IT HAVE THEIR PLEASURE AFTER ALL ONE SIZE DOESN'T NATURALLY FIT ALL WEARERS APOLOGYS IF YOU THINK I TALK BULL BUT IT'S MY OPINION & I'M ENTITLED TO IT.

Just got back from a great weekend in Torquay and what a great weekend!! Thanks again to the organisers from Kingsford Soul( Mick Bennett) in the Midlands a great weekend!!There were two rooms, one pure northern, loads of Motown, Wigan and Torch and Wheel stuff, and, where the floor was FULL ( 300+) from 8 until nearly 5am, a mix of ages. Room 2 upstairs, was more modern, ( still quite well patronised, and showed the the organisers were catering for all tastes )and while I tried it, it was not my taste, mainly because it does not have the diversity of northern and because it has that regular and dare I say, ( disco beat to it)!! Which does get tiresome. Not floorfiller material. Progressive? No I dont think so.... I like some modern but for a short spell, pure northern has far more longevity, and for me and judging by the 300+ others they too enjoyed their northern and just plain PURE soul, so I went back downstairs and there was such a variety of DJ`s styles and sounds which are the essence of northern. I totally agree with Ray!!! There is nothing like northern soul ....nothing KTF
Deb (Wolves)
Hi Mary, Torquay was a fabulous weekend, and to put the icing on the cake Sylvia and Joe Dean were there. I hope they got home OK. I am booking up for next year ASAP.
A Syl Johnson fan in Chicago wonders.....
Does anybody out there have a listing of the musicians who played on the Ms. Fine Brown Frame album released in 1982?
paul from rugeley
Hi Mary congratulations for inviting a progressive dj and lover of all soul music in John Fisher his three choices were brilliant in my opinion. Without people like john the soul scene will become stale soulies are not getting any younger we need our kids to love the music as much has we have done so the need to move forward is an urgent one i think or we will not have a soul scene at all in 10-20 years time so to all the northern fans who knock what john fisher played i ask is it your radio show or is radio stoke on a friday evening between 7-9 a show for everyone to express their own taste in soul music keep on soulin ps sorry Ray but yes you are a dinosaur
Nige
further to Fred Timson comments on John Fisher. i totally agree with him and these do not belong anywhere near Northern Soul. John Fisher might have walked past Wigan Casino to go to Blackpool that was up to him, but Mr Fisher is no Ian Lavine and never will be. and yes Fred he does play this and it does clear the dance floor all the time. the only place these records will be played in 10 or 20 years will be in John Fishers house a legend in his own ego mind.
Paul Wilkie from Shaw nr Oldham
Mary, please could you play any uplifting sound for my beltin wife Jean who was 50 on the 23rd,and say thanks to all the soulies who went to Kefalonia the other week for their company and the surprise meal,it was magic. And say hi to all the people who go to the Monaco Ballroom Hindley & Dancers only in Orrel top people.
Ray Pearce
Hi Mary I listened with interest to the John Fisher interview and selection of Sounds Which has prompted me to write the following for comment on the message board . We live in an age of the increasing awareness of diversity (respecting and valuing the differences in us all) and John's entitled to his views and opinions. Having stated this by the number of times John mentioned Modern and cutting edge I Think John is trying to convince the listeners that both the music in the so called modern mould (in itself a contradiction in terms)and the people associated with it are modern, cutting edge and progressive.Just like, as John recounted himself, he regarded Blackpool Mecca as he regularly walked past Wigan Casino over 30 years ago in his/our youth,to go to to places that were more "Cutting Edge". Good luck to you John. Followings and Cultures like the Northern Soul Scene have Norms, Values and beliefs that are shared by likeminded people. Over the years my understanding of the Northern Soul culture and scene is a love of Soul music with predominantly, although not exclusively, a driving pounding beat that touches your own soul and mind, makes you want to dance and move your feet and has the power and influence to immerse and envelop you, escaping the day to day cares and worries of life, lifting your sprits and sharing a common understanding with likeminded people (soulies). This is a culture I have shared and continue to share with discerning individuals who do not regard themselves as Modern, progressive and cutting edge but just Soulies who like to dance and enjoy themselves.Leave the Modern, progessive and cutting edge stuff for the Dome or Broad street in Birmingham or Wherever. As was said on the programme the punters vote with their feet. The people who predominantly go out to northern events although again not exclusively, are in their late 40's and early 50's, they still look good, many are still fit and can "shake their booty" and who identify with the thousands of sounds they have listened to over the past thirty something years. They are receptive to new material that has the required recipe (Ooh err do the DJ's decide that)which is regarded as Northern Soul. It's a matter of opinion of whats regarded as "cutting Edge and progressive" could it be more to do with ego or a "Mines better than yours" outlook? I'm all for freedom of choice but at the end of the day it's a successful venue full of people that speaks volumes not ego's. Sorry to go on perhaps two simple sayings could have briefly summed up what I have tried to say. 1) "You have go to know where you have been to know where you are going" and "Careful you don't throw the baby out with the bath water" Ktf Ray (or am I a dinosaur)
Fred Timson
I do not think the tracks by John Fisher can be considered as Northern Soul, more like soft soul this type of song should not be played in the same room, as it turns alot of people off and would clear most dance floors.
Jim Muir
Ms Fox Thank you for your work, I get to listen to your show on the net while catching up on e-mails etc. My formative years included trips across the Pennines to the Wheel, where the music ingrained itself into my being. I have lived in Staffordshire since the late 1970's, throughout which time I have added to my collection of vinyl till it has demanded a room of its own. One question springs to mind, when listeners are so privileged to get a programme like yours, why do they feel the need to be so bitterly critical of you or your guests. If ever I got the chance to guest I'd deem it an honour, and if any of your guests played three Ken Dodd tracks I'd laugh, I'd probably not listen, but I'd respect their right to enjoy their preferred music and their offer to share.

hello mary, i am in desperate search for an male uptempo northern soul tune i can not get out of my mind. the refrain goes "...break down and cry for me, tell me that you are sorry, and break down - break down!!" it is quite distinctive, because it has very similar instrumentals like martha and vandells "heatwave". would you please so kind and sweet, to let me know the singer and title if you recognize which song i have in mind. i am a big fan of your uplifting show. you make the soundtrack of my mornings!! friendly greetings, hannes

hello mary, i am in desperate search for a tune i really dig. its an uptempo northern soul tune by a male singer, and the refrain goes like "...break down and cry for me, tell me that you are sorry and break down-break down!!" it is quite distinctive, because it has very similar insrumentals like martha and vandells "heatwave" would you be so sweet and kind to tell me the name of the singer and the proper title, if you recognize which song i have in my mind? i am a big fan of your uplifting show. it makes my day!! friendly greetings, hannes

hi mary, could u please play some ruby winter on your show
Graham Harrison
About John Fisher. The 3 choices he made have got tyo be the worst i have ever heard on the show. I bet the soul police were having a fit. John , i have to say that you do not know northern soul if those are your choices. I take it as an insult to the music if you put these so called soul tunes in the same bracket bracket. Keep going to the disco and r& b scene because you have no place in the Northern scene.

Hi Mary, listening tonight on tinternet in Liverpool. Been off the scene for twenty five years or more, but you bring those memories back every week. You've even inspired me to get all my old 45's out of the attic and give them a spin, great memories of Wigan, Samantha's Sheffield, Yate, Skeggy and St. Ives. Play something for all the 'Soul Survivors' out there, any real old stomper will do, but Gwen Owens if you have it. Keep the Faith.

Hi Mary, Southport calling. Time to antagonise the soul police again!! Youth club classic please - Shotgun wedding by Roy C. Our youth club was run by the church verger who played us soul music all night. He gave us religion all right, and a deep spiritual love for the music which is still strong to this day. Keeping the faith here in Southport - Brad
Louise from Leek
As part of Leek Arts Festival why not come and see newish band Funk Station Zebra at The Swan in Leek on Friday 26th May at 8 pm. Not really true Northern Soul, but brilliant live band, Funk Station Zebra are devoted to performing the very best of 1970s funk - the deep beats of the Meters, Gap Band and Sly and the Family Stone; the disco funk of Chic, Trammps and KC and the Sunshine Band; and the soulful sounds of Stevie Wonder, the Isley Brothers and the O’Jays. Only a big line up can pull off this set list. The newly formed 12 piece band from Leek and Buxton has a full power brass section, backing singers to die for and is fronted by Janet Galloway (singer with successful 1990s Leek band The Godivas and widely respected on the jazz circuit). Funk Station Zebra are about having fun with some of the greatest dance music ever produced and making the full on funk and soul nights of the 1970s come alive again. Tickets are available at £6 from Leek Tourist Information or on the door, (though they are selling fast!).

Hi Yah Mary, Can you give the Northern Soul New Zealand Motown/Northern/60's night a mention please. May 27th 2006 Motown, Northern & 60's Soul Night Crook & Flail Bar Mercury Lane (Off "K" Road) Auckland City Center Time: 8pm - 3pm DJ's: Netti Page, Chae, Paul, Ian & Guests $10.00 per person payable at the door This is not a night just for Northern Soulies, so if you've got family, friends, work colleagues or know of anyone who loves Soul and wants to go somewhere where they can meet other people who enjoy good music, like to have a dance, drink and have a general chit chat then take them along with you, the more the merrier and it's guarantees the Soul nights keep going. Many thanks in advance Regards from New Zealand Chae PS Any chance of hearing Lew Kirton - Heaven in the afternoon

Great show again as ever Mary, I really look forward to Friday nights and your show after a long working week and it just gets better and better, some great guests the last couple of weeks and their choices !!! I agree with Ian from Bilston lets keep to the positive and all that is good about this excellent show and the Northern Scene in general. Which is very strong made more so by shows like Marys. Having just come back from New York and The SOUL TRIP USA, which had its moments,!! But there was much that was just priceless, Meeting with the artists, Archie Bell, Sandi Sheldon The Orlons,Cindy Scott, Rufus Wonder The Del Larks The Larks and so many more was just great!! But the best part for me was the new friends we made and all so different, ages from 30-60!! who all have the same interest the love of Northern Soul, and all with our own favourites, which just enriches our own knowledge and experiences. It all helps to Keep The Faith and long may Marys Show continue !!!

IAN EDWARDS {BILSTON)
Hi Mary, I was just reading through the message board and noticed not only the good messages but the bad.I really am amazed by the way people bicker about the rights and wrongs of what you play, and who was where and who went where in the old days.I would just like to say on my travels i have made many friends and loved hearing all the new and old tracks we are a big family who share a common love of this music and that is how it should be.I have been on your and show and seen how much effort you put in to make it work week in week out, so I find hard to bear the ungrateful attitude of those who dont appreciate your hard work for our benefit.but as for the "I WAS THERE BRIGADE" maybe so but you were born earlier than others,I am 45 and missed out on great venues in the 70'S,but I still made the most of what was available then and now all because I love NORTHERN SOUL.I would like to finally say I am wiser about this classic sound all due to the fine friends I have made in that time,I am Black Country born and bred and proud of it,but I enjoy spending the soul nights and all nighters in the company of the friends I have met from STOKE ON TRENT and WORCESTER WONDERFUL people who always make you feel welcome and always support you,so for the "NOTHINGS EVER RIGHT BRIGADE" please remeber 1.MARY FOX gives us wonderful memories and works hard for all of us 2.ALWAYS remember the friends you made, who you still miss and you always ask MARY to help you contact, she helps us,just listen and help her and stop the moaning. 3. Soon as the record says "TIME WILL PASS YOU BY.

Phil in Orwich
Hi Mary,I agree with mijuras motown man why fix somthing when it's not broken, not happy in Orwich, Im also not happy with Mr Anonymous, probably because he's just out of his nappy, Alan Haven's 'Image' is one of the best tracks ever, I know it's not 'Northern' genre, but for pure atmosphere, brilliant. And by the way, my world cup track would be Willie Mitchell's 'The Champion(s)'. Keep up the great work and all credit to Nick, great tracks and insight. KTF.
Goldie

HI MARY.......Friday`s show was awesome...I say that cos IT`S TRUE!!!!With Ref to "part" of "ANON`S letter..I would like to say that...When I was younger going to the "Wheel", Mo-Jo, Cavern ,Catecombs, etc listening to this wonderful Music ...I did not want anyone other than a "select few" to listen to this fabulous music....Oh how I wish I had been more outgoing them days .....can I share something with you since November last year I have "sponsored" thirty new soulies iinto the soul Zone How.?.by playing them the music to them ,explaining the roots where I can..being patient ,taking them to giggs..GETTING THEM TO TUNE IN TO RADIO SLOTS LIKE MARY FOX`S!!! by the way when I was Younger I thought certain friends & family members were not cool enough to have the privilige of being "introduced to this music"..so I did`nt bother playing any of the new soul tracks I had discovered to those I did `nt think were valid/...........NOW I WANT THE WHOLE WORLD TO HERE THIS GREAT MUSIC IN IT`S FINEST ART FORM. Now I Understand How "NEW" folk on the scene could STEER this scene off track ..However there are enough oldies floating around to make sure the "HISTORY " does`nt get distorted..I was right in the middle of the soul explosion in the 60s I had awonderful time but do you know what: recently Iwent on a Club crawl Wheel,Sink,Alsager, Regent.J.B.Bath,etc meeting fab guys & girls &I fell in love with them all!!!IT WAS AS GOOD AS ANY NIGHT I HAD ALL THOSE YEARS AGO!!!!..MY DEAR MR .ANON i understand you wanting to "PROTECT " " OUR SCENE" & we need people like you on the SCENE!! I LOVE THIS MUSIC I WANT TO PLAY IT TO THE WHOLE WORLD.!!!...just think if I had been less secretive about this music in my youth ,when we put the Radio on now ,instead of hearing "Leo Sayers " "THunder In My Heart" every five mins we might be listening to :"tracks like "Magic Potion" Lou Johnson, " " Somebody Help Me" Spellbinders.."SAve Me " THE MIRACLES...........etc .. I was living in the STATES when I first heard " Donnie Elbert" " I Hear a Symphony" every time I play that song for someone they fall in love with it. My POSTMAN LOVES DONNIE ELBERT ..last year HE Had never heard of him!!1 The milkman cant get enough of "Homer Banks" now....My Mum in law has "Touch of velvet" on her answer machine..every where I go I introduce this music to people..If they like it FINE If they dont then we know It`s just not there cup of tea I have met & bonded with some wonderful people thru this MUSIC of OURS.......none more so than..........STAN EVANS,MAY EVANS,ALAN,DENIS DEARY,SYLVIA & JOE...& I FEEL I MADE A SOULFUL CONNECTION WITH RADIO STOKE.............LOVE TO SYLVIA & JOE IN NEW YORK.............a very grateful GOLDIEXXX

eddy edmondsons soul site well worth a look.....hello to any northern soulies from the 70s in the uttoxeter and stafford areas...ktf

Mary, thank you for the show, it allows us 50 somethings stay in touch with our roots and trigger so many memories. I lived in Leicester when beer was 18p a pint but could never get to Stoke or Wigan because I couldn't afford it...but in Leicester and Loughborugh you used to get the odd all nighter even though none of my mates really liked the music. We had a great record shop on Narborough road where I spent many hours. The track that got me hooked for life was The Fury's I'm Satisfied. I still have the bootleg copy along with about 750 other 45's (even shipped 'em out to my new home near San Francisco. Keep up the good work.

CAN'T RESIST ANOTHER DIG AT ANONYMOUS WHO WOULD VET THE ELITE LIKE YOURSELF "THE CHOSEN FEW" WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU WOULD QUALIFY IS IT BECAUSE YOU WERE THERE IN THE EARLY YEARS AND SOME WERE NOT FOR MANY REASONS IF YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE SO SPECIAL FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE ETC YOU SHOULD BE PUSHING THE SCENE NOT PUNISHING IT WITH YOUR I'M BETTER THAN YOU ATTITUDE & POLITICS THAT'S WHY THE SCENE COOLED FOR SO MANY YEARS. THE OTHER PROBLEM IS MOST BIG VENUES HAVE LONG SINCE GONE THOSE THAT ARE STILL AVAILABLE DON'T WANT US THEY WANT BANG BANG MUSIC & SHEEP BY THE THOUSAND OR MEGA BUCKS TO USE THEIR VENUES PEOPLE LIKE ME RUN SMALLER VENUES (200 PLUS) & FILL THEM TO SPREAD "OUR MUSIC" TO NEW & OLD SOULIES I REALLY BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE IN A MINORITY THANK GOD. K.T.F.
