Staffordshire Spiritual Places
Here in the office we had a think about which places we would choose as our choices for spiritual places in Staffordshire.

They range from places like Lichfield Cathedral to natural beauty spots like Dovedale. One of us (not saying who) even chose a football stadiums for those moments of extreme passion and undying faith!
We hope you will be inspired by them too.

Lichfield Cathedral   Lichfield Cathedral TAKE A LOOK IN 360°
Lichfield Cathedral has a splendid setting. Its three spires are unique amongst medieval cathedrals and are often referred to as 'the Ladies of the Vale'. The present cathedral provides a beautiful and peaceful place to worship for both regular churchgoers and visitors.
Croxden Abbey   Croxden Abbey TAKE A LOOK IN 360°
The remains of a twelfth-century Cistercian abbey and its imposing church are very intriguing. While walking around the ruins, you can imagine the splendour of the place in its heyday.
Staffordshire canals   Staffordshire Canals
Staffordshire’s canals are among the most beautiful in the country. Walk along the towpaths, enjoy the birds and flowers, and reflect upon the county’s industrial history
National Arboretum   National Memorial Arboretum TAKE A LOOK IN 360°
Occupying 150 acres of land alongside the River Tame, the Arboretum offers a tranquil setting that pays tribute to the memory of ex-servicemen and women.
The stepping stones in Dovedale   Dovedale TAKE A LOOK IN 360°
One of the country’s most beautiful valleys. There are stone circles, bronze age hill forts, caves and rocks. Try Shepherd's Abbey Rocks, with their prominent limestone facades, or visit the Neolithic burial mound near Alstonefield. A place to be inspired by the nature.
Shelton Mosque   Bedford Road Islamic Centre
A spiritual centre for Muslims living in Stoke on Trent, the Bedford Street Mosque offers a warm welcome to all.
Mow Cop   Mow Cop
Topped by the castle and the Old Man of Mow (a stone believed to mark the site of an ancient cairn), Mow Cop is visible for miles around. People throughout history have found Mow Cop spiritually moving - it was chosen as the home of the Primitive Methodist movement.
St Giles Church   Saint Giles Church TAKE A LOOK IN 360°
Designed by Augustus Pugin, who was also responsible for the Houses of Parliament, virtually every single part of the St Giles Church in Cheadle is decorated from the floor to the ceiling. If elaborate and extravagant designs inspire you, this is the place to worship.
The Roaches   The Roaches TAKE A LOOK IN 360°
The Roaches, with Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks, form a gritstone escarpment along the south-western border of the Peak District. See them from the Leek road, the strange shapes stand sentry at the entrance to the National Park.
The Victoria Ground   The Victoria Ground
Sport can often be central to people's lives and for many, their local football ground is sacred. This 'hallowed ground', as some like to call it, is the former home of Stoke City Football Club.
