Jenny's break in broadcasting came as a student when a row erupted at the community radio station she was volunteering at and many of the staff quit. She was then given a free reign to read news bulletins and produce reports on local events.
After finishing her degree, Jenny completed a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University.
Her first job was at BBC Radio Jersey, where she produced, presented and reported for news programmes.
She moved to BBC Radio Devon in 2001 and started working for BBC Spotlight in 2005.
"On a sunny day, when I am driving to stories around the South West, I often think how lucky I am to be living in such a beautiful place. I love meeting the people who live here and learning about their lives."
Jenny regularly presents news bulletins on BBC Spotlight. She also films and edits most of her own reports.
"I really enjoy the creativity of filming and editing, although getting the right shot often seems to involve lying on the floor and getting covered in muck."
Jenny married local sports journalist Nigel in 2006 on the day of England's first World Cup game. Many of the congregation were listening to the game on hidden radios during the ceremony! The couple like to race one another in half marathons and so far Jenny has always won.
