He is Cornish born and bred and is proud of his local roots. ![]() Justin Leigh Justin Leigh has been broadcasting in the South West for more than twenty years. After work at Truro Hospital Radio Justin joined the BBC Radio Cornwall as a volunteer. "I went in to make the tea for a Sunday afternoon rock and pop presenter and eventually ended up presenting the programme". He said. During his ten years at BBC Radio Cornwall Justin presented almost all the programmes on the station covering a range of subjects from sport to the arts and news to documentaries. In 1997 Justin joined Spotlight as a reporter and presenter. He has covered some of the regions biggest news events including flooding at Boscastle, the 1999 solar eclipse, the foot and mouth outbreak and the Queen's Golden Jubilee. He's also reported from all over the world for Spotlight including South Africa, the Arctic Circle and France. Away from the studios Justin has become involved in a number of South West organisations. As well as president of Truro Hospital Radio he has also been President of the Devonshire Association which promotes the arts and sciences in Devon, is Vice President of the Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir and a patron of Hospiscare. All that doesn't leave much spare time, but during time off Justin enjoys walking, cycling and canoeing. In fact his canoeing appeared on Spotlight during an item for the BBC's Springwatch series.
