Clare joined the BBC 10 years ago and was initially based in the north of the country after completing her post-graduate journalist training.

Clare has worked at BBC radio stations in Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle and Wales cutting her teeth as a reporter, and later, becoming a producer and presenter.

She made the big move down to the South West in 1998, initially working as a newsreader and producer at BBC Radio Devon. After a couple of years she joined Spotlight, working as a reporter for the main evening programme.

More recently she's been working as a producer and presenter, and can regularly be seen presenting our late evening news bulletin.

Foreign travel has always been a key interest for Clare, including a spell living and working in Canada, travelling in Africa and snowboarding in various locations over the years.

But she says that's combined with making the most of life here in the beautiful South West where she enjoys walking, swimming and even a little surfing! Clare is married to Ross and lives near Plymouth.
