About Sport Relief
As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives.
All the money raised by the public helps people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.
As the nation celebrates the biggest ever year of sport, the entire country was asked to join in the fun with Sport Relief 2012 from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March.
Thousands upon thousands of schools and workplaces across the land took part in a whole host of fundraising activities kickstarting the Sport Relief Weekend, which was followed by the big night of Sport Relief TV on the BBC.
With hundreds of thousands of people taking part in the Sport Relief Mile events that took place across the UK on the Sunday – Sport Relief 2012 was a truly epic event.
And the most amazing part of all is that the £52m plus raised so far will be spent changing countless lives forever here in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Find out how all the money you raise will help people living tough lives in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
