New IPO: Kieren Fallon - 09 September 2009
Fallon gallops on to the 'daq
Controversial jockey Kieren Fallon is to be added to the 'daq after winning this week's Traders' Choice vote.
He beat Tottenham and Croatia star Niko Kranjcar into second place. Joe Denly was third.
Fallon has been one of the best flat jockeys of the modern era but his career has been dogged with race-fixing allegations and he recently completed an 18 month riding ban after failing a drugs test.
Before the ban Fallon rode three horses to victory in the Derby and was crowned champion jockey over the flat on six different occasions.
Finally, 2005 Ashes-winning captain Michael Vaughan, who retired from first class cricket earlier this year, loses his place on the 'daq. He will be de-listed at midday on Thursday 10th September.
