New IPO: Trott to be added to Sportdaq - 02 September 2009
Trott beats Prior to earn place on 'daq
England's latest batting hero Jonathan Trott has joined the 'daq after narrowly beating team-mate Matt Prior in this week's vote.
Trott became an instant hero for England after scoring a century on his Test debut, which just happened to be the game where England beat Australia to win the 2009 Ashes.
The South African born player was picked for England after scoring over 2300 first class runs for Warwickshire and topping 1000 runs for his county in both 2005 and 2006.
Trott's second innings knock at the Oval of 119 was a key part of England's victory as they won by 197 runs.
Finally, Formula One driver Nelson Piquet Jr. is on his final laps on the 'daq. He will be de-listed at midday on Thursday 3rd September.
