Sochi 2014: Matthias Mayer races to downhill gold

Austria's Matthias Mayer wins men's downhill gold at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The 23-year-old sped down the controversial Rosa Khutor Sochi 2014 downhill piste in a time of two minutes 6.23 seconds.

Christof Innerhofer of Italy takes the silver medal position, with Norway's Kietil Jansrud claiming bronze.

Five-time Olympic medallist Bode Miller could only finish eighth in his final Winter Games.
