Cardiff Blues: Flanker Rory Watts-Jones signs new deal
Flanker Rory Watts-Jones has signed a new contract with the Cardiff Blues to stay at the Arms Park.
Watts-Jones, 25, played for Plymouth Albion in the English Championship and was also part of the Wales Sevens set-up.
Flanker Watts-Jones is the latest young forward to put pen to paper on a new deal at the Blues.
"I'm very grateful to have the contract offer from the Blues and accept it," said Watts-Jones.
"Phil (Davies) [Cardiff Blues director of rugby] is a loyal man and he has shown his great faith in me; I want to repay that with my performances.
"This season I feel I have stepped up and looked to take my chance in the first team.
"I'm a local boy from the region and there is nowhere else I would want to play my rugby.
"Obviously I want to play every single week and you have to really push yourself here."
Watts-Jones follows in the footsteps of young forwards Ellis Jenkins and Kristian Dacey in signing new deals with the Blues.
Watts-Jones moved to Blues in 2012 and has already made 25 appearances for the region in all competitions.
