Newcastle Falcons: Zach Kibirige signs professional deal
Newcastle Falcons winger Zach Kibirige has signed a first professional contract at Kingston Park, although the terms of the deal are undisclosed.
The 18-year-old, who has been called into the England under-18 squad, has scored two tries in two games since his debut in October.
"I'm pleased to have committed my future to the Falcons," Kibirige said.
"The last few months have been incredible and I'm grateful Dean Richards has given me a chance."
Kibirige, born in Middlesbrough, joined Newcastle's academy aged 12, after he was spotted by academy manager Mark Laycock.
Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said: "Zach has an abundance of talent and he's already shown us what he can do in the two senior matches that he's played in.
"It's great news that an exciting local talent has signed for the club, as we look to build for the future."
