Olympic and World champions Helen Glover and Heather Stanning claimed the first gold of the day, comfortably winning the women's pair final, with the men's four of Alex Gregory, Mohamed Sbihi, George Nash and Andrew Triggs Hodge winning the second gold of the morning session.

Graeme Thomas, Sam Townsend, Charles Cousins and Peter Lambert went on to win the men's quadruple skulls final and Olympic champion Kat Copeland teamed up with Imogen Walsh to secure gold in the lightweight women's double sculls.
