BBC Sport - Home crowd helped me win Olympic silver - Samantha Murray

London 2012: Fans spurred me on - Murray

Great Britain's Samantha Murray says the passionate home crowd "spurred me on" as she claimed silver in the women's modern pentathlon in the final event of London 2012.

The 22-year-old started the run-shoot finale eight seconds off the pace, but caught up to finish a superb second behind Lithuania's Laura Asadauskaite.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Murray also admitted it's been "a really tough road" to get to the Olympic Games as she only took up the sport four years ago.
