Manchester's Great Day of Sport
The Great Day of Sport takes place in Manchester on Sunday with over 40,000 people - from amateurs to the world's leading athletes - due to take part.
The day begins with Haile Gebrselassie defending his title in the Great Manchester Run, a 10km race through the city's streets.
The Great Salford Swim, a unique one-mile open water contest, features Britain's world champion Kerri-Anne Payne joined by a host of famous faces from the world of sport and show business braving the bracing conditions in Salford Quays to raise money for charity.
During the afternoon the Great City Games will feature some of the biggest names in men's and women's athletics, with Jessica Ennis, Christine Ohuruogu and American sprinter Tyson Gay among those in action.

Great Manchester Run: 1000-1200
Ethiopian great Gebrselassie has won the elite men's race three times, and will be looking to defend his title. His compatriot Worknesh Kidane is the defending women's champion. Four-time men's champion David Weir and three-time women's winner Shelly Woods compete in the wheelchair races.
Great Salford Swim: 1400-1530
Five-time Olympic gold medallist Ian Thorpe joins Britain's former gold medallist Adrian Moorhouse in the BBC commentary team to describe the action in the second staging of the event, which also features Britain's Olympic medallists Cassie Patten and David Davies.
Great Manchester Games: 1530-1700
Britain's Mark Lewis-Francis and Andy Turner compete in the 100m and 110m hurdles respectively, while Christian Malcolm and Marlon Devonish take on 100m world number one Tyson Gay in the rarely run 150m, which is the the final event at 1648.
British golden girl Jessica Ennis, the world and European heptathlon champion, runs in the women's 150m, and Christine Ohuruogu will face three-times world champion Allyson Felix in the women's 200m.
There will be a live text commentary online covering all three events in Manchester plus the Diamond League meeting in Shanghai.
