Mattie Lennon poised for Tyrone senior hurling post
Former Armagh and Monaghan boss Mattie Lennon is set to become the new manager of the Tyrone senior hurling team.
Lennon's appointment will be ratified at the January meeting of the county board and he will succeed Tom Magill, who was manager for four seasons.
Lennon served three years as Orchard hurling manager from 2006 to 2008.
He was Monaghan hurling manager when they reached the NHL Division 3A final in 2012 and took charge of the Armagh U21 footballers last season.
Lennon played hurling at all levels for his club Derrynoose and Armagh.
