Speedway: Poole Pirates duo agree extended stay
Poole Pirates riders Chris Holder and Darcy Ward have agreed to remain with the double-winning side next season.
Holder, 24, and 19-year-old Ward helped the Pirates to the Elite League and Knockout Cup crowns last season.
Australian Holder has also been unveiled as the team's new captain following the departure of Davey Watt.
Promoter Matt Ford told BBC Radio Solent: "It's the news that everybody wanted. All the fans were hoping they'd come back."
He added: "It is going to make us a little 'top-heavy' but I'm willing to take that chance and I believe the supporters are also.
"As long as we can hold on to these guys then I'd like to do it."
