Hamilton hits Bottas in Brazil

Lewis Hamilton collides with Vatteri Bottas at the Brazilian Grand Prix, causing the Finn to retire and earning himself a drive-through penalty.

Hamilton recovered to finish the race in ninth position in his Mercedes, and ends the season fourth overall behind world champion Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.

Vettel won in Sao Paulo to set a new record for consecutive race victories in Formula 1.
