How Hamilton's steering wheel works

Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton explains the uses of the 26 dials, switches and buttons on the steering wheel of his Mercedes.

In addition to changing gear, the steering wheel also operates a number of other systems that affect the car's handling and balance, with 2008 world champion Hamilton revealing he has had to study all the different operations so they are in the forefront of his mind during a race.

Hamilton currently lies third in the drivers' championship following two podium finishes in the opening four races of the season.
