Hearts have sent teenager striker Gary Oliver out on loan to Stenhousemuir until 5 January.

The 19-year-old scored the opener in a 2-1 League Cup victory over the League Two side last week.

That was the teenager's fifth appearance and his second goal of the season for the Tynecastle side.

Under the terms of the temporary transfer, Hearts can continue to select Oliver for the Under-20 team.

It follows a similar move for defender Liam Smith to East Fife last week.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Lee Hollis, 28, has left the Edinburgh club following a short-term stint.

The former Airdrie and Motherwell was signed following injuries to Neil Alexander and Scott Gallacher and made two starts in the League Cup.

Rangers midfielder Tom Walsh has also joined Stenhousemuir on loan until 1 January.
