Michael Brown, Steve Jennings & Michael O'Connor join Port Vale
Port Vale have signed three midfielders after agreeing one-year deals with Michael Brown, Steven Jennings and Michael O'Connor.
Brown, 37, played in the Premier League for five different clubs including Manchester City, Tottenham and Fulham.
He began his career with Vale's local rivals Crewe before a more permanent move to Scunthorpe in July 2009, after which he joined Rotherham in May 2012.
"I'm sure the fans will like what they see when Michael O'Connor plays," said Adams. "He's an all-round midfield player. He can pass, he can score goals and he's really competitive as well.
"And we're delighted to bring both Michael Brown and Steve Jennings to Vale. They're two vastly experienced players. The club have created some good competition for midfield places. I'm excited about the coming season."
Brown, who also played in the top flight with Wigan and Portsmouth, is expected to combine his playing role with coaching duties at Vale Park, after being released by Leeds in May.
Vale's business comes on the same day that the club announced a winding-up petition served by Revenue & Customs over an unpaid tax bill, which will not affect the football operations at Vale Park.
