Netherlands 0-0 Argentina (2-4 pens)

Argentina beat the Netherlands 4-2 on penalties and go through to face Germany in Sunday's World Cup final in Rio de Janeiro.

The two sides played out an uneventful 90 minutes and with the match remaining goalless after extra time, the game went to a shootout.

Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder both had their spot kicks saved by Argentina keeper Sergio Romero, and Maxi Rodriguez scored to send Argentina through.
