Charlton Athletic have signed Belgian midfielder Franck Moussa following his departure from Coventry City.

The 25-year-old, who scored 14 goals in 46 appearances for the Sky Blues last season, has agreed a two-year deal with the Addicks.

Moussa told the club website: "I was looking to sign for a good team and I think I've found this in Charlton.

"I had a phone call to come and have a chat with the manager [Bob Peeters] and I had a good feeling straight away."

He added: "The Valley is a great stadium so as soon as I heard of the interest it happened really quickly after that."

Moussa began his career in Anderlecht's youth set-up and after spending time at West Ham, joined Southend United.

The former Belgium Under-19 international made a total of 103 appearances for the Essex club before moving to Leicester City in 2010, but only played 15 games for the Foxes.

Following loan spells at Doncaster and Colchester, he joined Coventry in September 2012.

Moussa is Charlton's third singing of the summer following the arrivals of midfielder Yoni Buyens and striker Igor Vetokele.
