World Cup 2014: Uruguay's Luis Suarez bites Chiellini

More than 100 gamblers have cashed in following Luis Suarez's apparent bite on Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's 1-0 World Cup win.

Online bookmaker Betsson offered 175/1 on Suarez biting an opponent and paid out £44,000 between 167 punters, the biggest individual win being £2,000.

The firm paid out despite Fifa still investigating the alleged incident.

Liverpool's Suarez, 27, has been banned before for biting opponents, once as Ajax skipper and once with the Reds.
