Poyet revels in Sunderland 'miracle'

Gus Poyet says the "special connection" between the players and the fans is the reason behind Sunderland's incredible escape from relegation, as the Black Cats secured their survival with a 2-0 win over West Brom.

Goals from Jack Colback and a well-worked volley from Fabio Borini ensured the win and gave Sunderland an impressive 13-point return from their last five games.

"Today is one of the best days of my life" beamed Poyet, who said keeping the Black Cats in the Premier League "feels like winning a championship."
