York City 1-0 Bury
York strengthened their play-off bid with a narrow win over in-form Bury.
The home side took the lead early on when Keith Lowe diverted Will Hayhurst's low corner past goalkeeper Brian Jensen.
Jensen then produced a fine save to deny Calvin Andrew and John McCombe blocked Hallam Hope's effort on the line to preserve York's lead.
McCombe then blazed over from six yards before Daniel Nardiello was sent off late on for a second yellow card.
York City manager Nigel Worthington told BBC Radio York:
"It was a fantastic three points.
"The effort and commitment and resilience the players have put in has been fantastic over the course of the run that we're on.
"Playing two important games in the space of three or four days can drain you both physically and emotionally.
"The lads have done exceptionally well and they were worthy of the three points."
Bury manager David Flitcroft told BBC Radio Manchester:
"First twenty minutes was sort of a war of attrition and we withstood that apart from a soft goal, it was a really poor goal on our part.
"I think after that it sort of woke us up a little bit.
"From seven minutes in we dominated them on the ball, we dominated them on our running power.
"With a lot of aspect of today's play I was delighted apart from obviously not scoring."
