Chesterfield 1-1 Exeter City

Eoin Doyle's second-half penalty earned promotion-chasing Chesterfield a draw and denied Exeter a precious win in their battle to avoid relegation.

The visitors went in front with a deflected free-kick from Matt Grimes.

Sam Morsy was sent off for a lunging tackle on Grimes but Doyle levelled for the 10 men after he had been tripped.

Chesterfield are second, three points inside the top three, while Exeter lie two points above the relegation zone with three games left to play.
