Bury 1-1 Dagenham & Redbridge
A draw against Dagenham & Redbridge kept Bury close to the relegation zone.
Both sides attacked with intent but it was the home side who took the lead with a debut goal from Chris Hussey.
Luke Norris equalised following a jinking run, but not before Bury had threatened to double the lead only for the ball to become stuck in mud as an empty net beckoned for Clive Platt.
Bury sub Andy Procter came closest to a winner, heading against the bar from goalscorer Hussey's corner.
Bury manager David Flitcroft told BBC Radio Manchester:
"When I look at the performance, it had a tempo to it and it had a good energy to it.
"Barring the keeper making top class saves, I think we deserved - on the balance of play and chances created - three or four goals, but it's football, you don't get what you deserve. You only ever get what you earn.
"There are things I can take out and build on and we've tried to come up with a different way of playing today. It's been a success in certain aspects."
Dagenham and Redbridge manager Wayne Burnett speaks to BBC London 94.9:
"I think it could've gone either way to be honest. A draw was a fair result in the end.
"it was a good spectacle in difficult conditions. My players have done unbelievably well. Fair play to them".
