Pardew apologises for headbutt

Alan Pardew apologises following his sending-off for headbutting Hull City's David Meyler at the KC Stadium.

The Newcastle manager was dismissed from the touchline after an angry confrontation when both went to retrieve the ball.

The pair squared up to each other, prompting referee Kevin Friend to send Pardew to the stands and book Meyler for shoving.

The incident took the shine off a polished Newcastle performance, as the Magpies ran out 4-1 winners.
