England's 'strong' squad pleases manager Roy Hodgson

England manager Roy Hodgson says those left out of his 30-man squad for the friendly against Denmark could still be in the party that travels to the World Cup in June.

Southampton defender Luke Shaw has been called up for the first time, along with Liverpool's Raheem Sterling, Everton midfielder Ross Barkley and Cardiff defender Steven Caulker.

Wednesday's game is England's last before Hodgson names his squad for this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
