Coleraine continue to climb clear of relegation danger by taking all three points from their Premiership visit to Dungannon Swifts.

Goals by David McDaid and Jonny Watt gave Coleraine revenge for a recent Irish Cup defeat against Dungannon Swifts.

Former Derry City striker David McDaid nipped in when home defender Dermot McCaffrey lost possession and finished well past keeper Gareth Buchanan.

Dungannon felt they should have had a penalty for hand-ball against Joe McNeill but it was not given.

Watt made the points safe by scoring in stoppage-time.

McDaid set it up by getting through on the left and playing the ball across for Watt to find the net at the far post.

Before that Dungannon's Chris Lavery saw a shot cleared off the line.

"We probably rode our luck a bit but it was all about getting the three points and trying to close the gap on the teams above us," said Bannsiders boss Oran Kearney.

"Credit is due to the ground staff for getting the match on and we are glad to get it played as we have a couple of Monday night games coming up in the Setanta Cup."
