BBC Sport - West Ham 1-3 Newcastle: Sam Allardyce rues lack of 'quality'

Allardyce rues lack of 'quality'

Manager Sam Allardyce blames a lack of "quality finishing" for West Ham's West Ham's 3-1 home defeat by Newcastle.

Although Mike Williamson's own goal reduced the deficit after the Hammers fell 2-0 behind following Yohan Cabaye and Loic Remy goals, Carlton Cole and substitute Andy Carroll missed late chances for West Ham.

Cabaye swung in a late free-kick to condemn West Ham to a sixth Premier League defeat at home this season and keep them in the relegation zone.
