Ayr United 1-3 Brechin City

Brechin City left Somerset Park with all three points after overcoming Scottish League One opponents Ayr United.

Gerard McLaughlan's header put the visitors in front and Kyle McAusland's own goal doubled Brechin's advantage.

Gordon Pope swept home to give Ayr hope with 11 minutes remaining.

But Graham Hay's penalty, following Alan Lithgow's foul on Derek Carcary, ensured that Brechin would end the match as winners.
