Wycombe Wanderers 0-3 AFC Wimbledon

Charlie Wyke scored on his debut as AFC Wimbledon claimed their first win in eight games to defeat Wycombe.

Wimbledon broke the deadlock when Harry Pell headed down Sammy Moore's free-kick to hand Wyke a simple finish.

Wyke laid the ball off to Moore, who fired into the net first time, before Anthony Stewart was sent off for bringing down Kevin Saint-Luce.

Jack Midson beat Ingram from the resulting spot-kick, although the visitors later had Jim Fenlon sent off.

"I'm very disappointed. It's probably the worst home performance I've had under my tenure, and I don't want things like that to happen again.

"As good as we were first half, we didn't score. We had a lot of possession, played some good football, but didn't stick it in the net. In the second half they started well, right from the kick off they got a shot on goal, and we never recovered from there.

"There was no change at all from the end of the first half where we were absolutely bossing it, to the start of the second half where we just capitulated.

"It's one of those things we have to work on. We'll be in all week working on what needs to be put right - the passion, the desire, and the drive just didn't seem to be there that second half."

AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley told BBC London 94.9:

"You've got to enjoy days like today. As a group we were flat after the Dagenham game, as we dominated the game and came away with nothing.

"I thought Jack Midson was absolutely phenomenal today - credit to him as he has had a tough year.

"If you keep giving confidence to the players, it will turn. It's come good and we will rest now and enjoy this and come back strong again."
