Crawley Town 0-2 Milton Keynes Dons
Goals from Stephen Gleeson and Patrick Bamford helped MK Dons to victory at 10-man Crawley.
Gleeson opened the scoring on 22 minutes with a spectacular shot from the edge of the area after the hosts failed to clear from a corner.
The Dons doubled their lead after the break when Bamford latched onto Dale Jennings' through ball to claim his 16th goal of the season.
Crawley's Billy Clarke was sent off for a late challenge on Lee Hodson.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Crawley Town manager John Gregory told BBC Sussex:
"It was hard on us really. They had one shot in the first half and two in the second but the goals were both clinical.
"The first one's flown in from a long distance and 2-0 flattered them.
"It looked a red card to me. Billy had left the ground and it looked like a two-footed challenge from where I was. I might be wrong but it looked as if it was a straight red."
MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"Getting a goal in each half is all I can ask as a manager. The goals were unbelievable goals. There were one or two bits I wasn't happy with, but we'll go away and work on them and come back a better team for the Brentford game.
"We're doing all right. We're still nowhere near where we want to be, there's still a lot more still to come. But we just looked comfortable today if I'm being honest.
"This pitch shouldn't be allowed to be played on to an extent. But we've played on it. Last year we went to Yeovil and got beat. In months gone by we probably would have lost this game. It just shows the togetherness in the group that they've managed to keep a clean sheet and score two goals."
