Stevenage 0-0 Sheffield United
League One strugglers Sheffield United and Stevenage both earned a point as they battled out a goalless draw.
The Blades hit the woodwork twice as they dominated the match and stretched their unbeaten run to five games.
Aidy White saw his cross-turned-shot helped onto the post by Boro keeper Chris Day before Jose Baxter's powerful effort cannoned off the upright.
Stevenage's best chance fell to Jordan Burrow who fired narrowly wide after good play from Francois Zoko.
Boro remain in the bottom four with Sheffield United two points clear.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Stevenage boss Graham Westley told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"The conditions were the winner this afternoon, it was very tough out there. In the first half it [the wind]was really up, and we had to defend our goal with real resilience.
"It was difficult to get the ball down and keep it under control. As a consequence there was a lot of back-to-front ball played. It was a game that I always thought would be 1-0 from a set play.
"You had to make sure you didn't make mistakes, that you kept yourself solid, that you kept your concentration, and you hope that you could win it.
"We had a couple of moments; Jordan with the far post header, nobody there to pick up the seconds. Dunny [James Dunne], when he tried the chip, probably could have whipped the bottom corner for me. As I say, neither goalkeeper really tested through the 90 minutes."
Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough:
"Absolutely delighted with the performance.
"That's the best we've seen in the last couple of months. We controlled the game from start to finish.
"We got the ball down and I thought we started the game superbly. Everything was good."
