Bristol City 1-2 Rotherham United
Goals from Nouha Dicko and Ben Pringle gave Rotherham victory and sent Bristol City to the bottom of League One.
Dicko followed in Kieran Agard's long-range shot to put the visitors in front inside three minutes.
City forward Jay Emmanuel-Thomas gifted Rotherham possession on the halfway line and Lee Frecklington broke away to tee up Pringle for a second.
Bobby Reid pulled one back when his cross curled straight in before Millers keeper Adam Collin denied Sam Baldock.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill told BBC Radio Bristol:
"After two minutes the ball ends up in our net on the rebound and that is a bit disappointing because we had the ball for the first minute and 50 seconds.
"I thought that the team responded very well to the chat we had at half-time.
"I think the two young boys did well when they came on and I switched around the back four a little bit to become more attacking from the full backs.
"We have to start the game next week the way we ended this one. We can't afford to start it how we started today."
Rotherham United manager Steve Evans tells BBC Radio Sheffield:
"I think it was a game of two halves really, I think conditions played a part to be fair.
"I think we should have been out of sight by half time and there wouldn't have been any surprise if it had been four or five, such was the dominance we had.
"You always know your going to have to defend the way Steve (Cotterill) sets his teams up and the players they've got.
"They obviously scored a late goal. But I think all in all we deserved the points and I could have perhaps been more, but still this this is a really difficult place to come and play."
