York City 2-3 Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers secured their place in the second round of the FA Cup despite a late comeback by fellow League Two strugglers York City.
Rovers led when John-Joe O'Toole netted after an Eliot Richards effort hit a post and Oliver Norburn's low, 18-yard strike made it 2-0 before half-time.
Chris Beardsley fired in a third but Wes Fletcher's penalty, after Lewis Montrose was fouled, made it 3-1.
Fletcher then scored from long range but the visitors held on.
The Pirates are at home against Crawley Town in the second round on Saturday, 7 December.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
York City manager Nigel Worthington told BBC Radio York:
"If you use the word 'pathetic' - for 70 minutes that's exactly what we were.
"I'm not being clever but I spotted it before the game and I said some were not right mentally and that comes from within. I regret to say I was spot on.
"We didn't concede the goals, we gave them the goals once again and then to get back into the game in the manner we did is absolutely crazy.
"For 20 minutes we gave the supporters value for money - before that, no.
"We've robbed good people of hard-earned money and that's not acceptable."
