Everton resilience pleases Martinez

Everton boss Roberto Martinez says his team struggled to break down Crystal Palace but is pleased to see his team keep a clean sheet to claim a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park.

Both sides squandered chances to score, Jerome Thomas sent a chip into the side-netting when clean through on goal for Palace, while Everton's Phil Jagielka hit the crossbar with a header.

The result means Palace pick up their first point in eight Premier League matches.
