Gabbiadini backs Poyet appointment

Former Sunderland striker Marco Gabbiadini backs the appointment of new head coach Gus Poyet.

The ex-Brighton boss has no previous experience of Premier League management, however Gabbiadini believes that Poyet's time in the top flight as a player with Chelsea and Tottenham will "stand him in good stead."

Gabbiadini told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast: "He's a respected person as a player... he's been there, got the T-shirt, and I think he always comes over very well in the press as well."
