First-half display disappoints Pardew

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew admits his side let their fans down in the first half of the 3-2 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park.

The Magpies were 3-0 down at half-time but second-half goals from Yohan Cabaye and Loic Remy almost saw them pull off a famous comeback.

The defeat means Newcastle remain 16th in the Premier League table on seven points after six games played of the 2013-14 season.
