Chester 2-1 Macclesfield

Chester went two goals up and held firm in the second half to beat Macclesfield and secure a second win of the season.

Aiden Chippendale broke the deadlock with a 25-yard strike and Gareth Seddon doubled the advantage when he drilled home from just outside the box.

The Silkmen gave themselves a lifeline before half-time when Danny Whittaker converted from the edge of the area.

Chester's Ben Mills had a penalty saved after the break as Steve Williams felled Danny Higginbotham in the area.
