Truro City to probe Warren Daw injury incident

Truro City will review video footage of an incident in Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Bashley which left defender Warren Daw with a dislocated elbow.

Daw suffered the injury in a second-half collision with a Bashley player.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where his elbow was put back in place and was later discharged.

"I've asked the club's videographer for footage, after which a decision will be made on whether it should be taken further," said chairman Peter Masters.

Daw wrote on Twitter that his arm was "a bit mangled but I'm fine".

Manager Steve Massey, talking to BBC Radio Cornwall, confirmed there was no fracture and that the club had sent a taxi to bring Daw back to Cornwall.

"He was probably one of our best, if not our best player on the night," said Massey, who expects Daw to be out for eight weeks.

"He's very ambitious and wants to make his way in the game. He'll come back again because he'll be a top, top player."
