Yeovil Town sign Michael Ngoo and Billy Clifford on loan

Yeovil have signed Liverpool striker Michael Ngoo and Chelsea midfielder Billy Clifford on loan deals.

Ngoo, 20, has joined the Glovers on a season-long deal while Clifford, also 20, has agreed a six-month stay.

The 6ft 6in Ngoo, who spent six months at Hearts last season, scoring five goals in 16 games, signed for the Reds in 2009 after coming through the youth ranks at Southend United.

Clifford played 18 matches on loan at Colchester last season.

"The signing of Michael will create strong competition for our already strong front line," manager Gary Johnson told the Yeovil website.

Meanwhile, Johnson has decided not to sign trialists Simon Ferry and Marcos Painter.

Midfielder Ferry was released by Swindon at the end of last season, while defender Painter is a free agent after leaving Brighton.

Both played for the Glovers in their friendly win over Poole Town on Saturday but Johnson will not take the duo to their pre-season camp in Portugal.
