Paul Bodin: Swindon Town youth coach decides to quit

Paul Bodin

Swindon youth coach Paul Bodin has left the League One club by mutual consent.

Bodin had been in the role since 2007 and took caretaker charge of the first-team during the 2010-11 season following Paul Hart's departure.

The 48-year-old former Swindon and Wales defender had not worked since March after being signed off with a stress-related illness.

"It was a shame that we could not convince Paul to return," said general manager Steve Murrall.

"The youth development we have planned for the future is excellent and very well supported by the manager [Kevin MacDonald] and his team.

"We at Swindon Town of course wish Paul all the very best in the future and thank him for his time with the club."
