Di Canio threatens shorter holidays

Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has threatened to shorten his players holiday if they put in another performance as bad as their 6-1 defeat by Aston Villa.

They play Tottenham in the final game of the season on Sunday and Di Canio expects his players to put in a professional performance despite the fact they are now safe from relegation.

Since Di Canio's appointment at the end of March, the Black Cats have taken eight points from six games.
