Peterborough Utd offer deals to Grant McCann & Mark Little
Relegated Peterborough United have offered new deals to Grant McCann and Mark Little, while Nicky Ajose, Emile Sinclair, Daniel Kearns and Tyrone Barnett are available for transfer.
Midfielder McCann and defender Little are out of contract this summer.
But boss Darren Ferguson is hopeful of keeping the pair as he prepares for life in League One.
"They will be given a certain time to think about that offer and make a decision," he told the club website.
"The nucleus of the squad will not change. Of course, I am sure there will be offers for players.
"There are certain players that will have to go because we have to balance it off, but we will dust ourselves down, and go again."
Posh will strive to keep hold of contracted strikers Lee Tomlin and Dwight Gayle, who both had impressive seasons despite their side's relegation from the Championship.
Gayle, 22, scored 13 goals in 29 games in his debut season in the second tier.
"I imagine there will be interest in some players, if bids come in, we will talk about it," said Ferguson, whose side were consigned to the drop with a 3-2 loss at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
"Dwight and Lee will have interest and we have to deal with it like we have done with previous players."
Of the transfer-listed quartet, neither forward Ajose or midfielder Kearns made a single start this season.
Strikers Emile Sinclair and Tyrone Barnett have barely featured with Barnett spending a short spell on loan at Ipswich.
Ferguson also said wideman Tommy Rowe could leave the club, as he only has one year remaining on his deal.
"There is a chance Tommy will move on because of that situation," said Ferguson.
"We can't afford for him to have his contract run out. There will never be a problem between the club and Tommy Rowe. He has been fantastic.
"He is not on the list or anything, but I think people will understand where I am coming from."
