'Exciting' first win cheers Adkins

Nigel Adkins enjoys his first win as Reading manager after an "exciting" 4-2 Premier League win away at Fulham.

In a "very pleasing" display, Hal Robson-Kanu scored twice before two Bryan Ruiz goals for Fulham, either side of Adam Le Fondre's tap-in, gave the Royals a scare until Jem Karacan's late strike.

Adkins encourages his new charges to "keep looking forward" after last week's top-flight relegation was confirmed.
